Ebru Şahin Kehribar
BSc: Molecular Biology and Genetics, Bilkent University, 2010
MSc: Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Sabancı University, 2013
Ebru’s current research focuses on recombinant protein expression using yeast surface display technology via synthetic biology tools. Her aim is to develop screening systems that target amyloid-forming proteins associated with diseases such as Alzheimer, Parkinson, Huntington and Creutzfeld-Jakob. She enjoys watching anime, playing piano and practicing yoga.
Selin Su Yirmibeşoğlu
BSc : METU, Biology, 2012
Selin is focused on development of biomedical whole cell sensors via synthetic biology approach. Specific circuits for detection of organ failure such as kidney , she is designing in this manner. Her aim is developing an analog logic gate into a chip which serves as a quick, cost effective and reliable alternative for general usage. Selin took part in iGEM (International Genetically Machine ) team as a team member which earn bronze medal in 2012 and as a team leader which earn gold medal in 2013, and as an advisor 2014. Selin enjoys reading horror novel, swimming and playing chess and hanging out with her friends.
